SyllyWeek

Terms

SyllyWeek is a free tool that reads syllabus PDFs. These are the terms of using it, in plain words.

What it does, and what it does not promise

SyllyWeek proposes what it read from your syllabus and asks you to confirm it. It is deliberately built to leave a field blank rather than guess, and it shows you the line every value came from — but it can still read something wrong, and a syllabus can itself be wrong or be changed after you upload it.

The syllabus and your instructor are the authority on your dates, not this tool. Confirm anything that matters before you rely on it. Missing an exam is not something SyllyWeek can be held responsible for.

Your account

Sign in with Google and keep your Google account secure; anyone who can use it can see your courses. Do not upload documents you are not allowed to hold, and do not use the service to collect other people’s contact details for any purpose beyond your own coursework.

Availability

This is a personal project offered free of charge, with no uptime guarantee and no support commitment. It may change, break, or be switched off. Export your calendar file if you need the dates to outlive the service — that file is yours and works without it.

Liability

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the author is not liable for any loss arising from using it — including a missed deadline, exam or assignment.

Ending it

You can delete a course at any time, or ask for your account and all its data to be deleted, at solomon@haystackland.com. See the privacy notice for what is stored.
